inspiration below for further information) and be submitted by a PSA member.
2021 Competition Theme
During the Coronavirus Pandemic, the world has seen a low supply of a variety of things from toilet paper to fresh poultry products.
Create a video that highlights a specific group of poultry species raised for meat and/or egg consumption. For your species, be sure to touch on the benefits of poultry proteins
derived from these birds and the time it takes to raise them from incubation to slaughter and/or egg production. Lastly, give 2-3 reasons as to why your species of choice is paramount
(do not badger or insult other species).
Species selection is open to any group of poultry species used for meat and/or egg production. Unique species selection could benefit the creativity component of the judging
Possible groups of species include chickens, ducks, geese, emu, quail, and more!
Example: you may decide to focus your video on White Pekin Ducks, but you can also focus on ducks in general instead of just one breed.
Ideas for Inspiration Not required; following any of the below does not guarantee the submission a better chance at winning.
Video concept formats: music video, infomercial, skit, and animation.
Production aid: consider consulting with communications students or departments at your institution for their assistance with producing your video.
You are encouraged to use outside production to help make your video. You WILL NOT BE PENALIZED for using outside help or if outside help creates your video for you.
