The Fellowship will commence on January 1, 2017 and be awarded to an outstanding student in poultry sciences pursuing a Ph.D. degree. The Fellowship will provide funding over a
three-year period subject to satisfactory progress. Innovative, applied, and basic aspects of poultry science will be considered including such areas as intestinal health, immunology, poultry
pathology and disease, molecular biology, and vaccine technology and development.
An annual progress report will be required within three months of the first and second years of the project. A final report will be submitted within three months of project completion. The
final report should provide a detailed description of the principal accomplishments and findings of the research and include a list of any publications produced including those submitted and
In Press. It should include courses attended and grades achieved indicating educational achievement and describe any meetings attended to disseminate the results.

Mentor Name - the mentor should have demonstrable achievements in the field of research proposed.
Institutional Unit - describe the organization involved and where the research will be conducted. (300 character limit)
Project Title - a brief, clear description of the subject of the research. (750 character limit)
Principal Objectives of the Project - a statement of the specific purpose and goals of the research. (1000 character limit)
Justification - describe the significance of the project and how it may benefit the poultry industry. (1500 character limit)
Approach - provide a brief outline of the experimental methods to achieve the project objectives. (750 character limit)
Expected Outcome (1500 character limit)
Resume - A one page resumé of the qualifications of the student that will receive the Fellowship.
Student Summary - A one page document of the qualifications of the student for this type of research.
