Hen in a Basket
Kimberley Kuenzel is an Arkansas Avian Taxidermist. Known as the 'Chicken Lady' among Arkansas Taxidermists. She started in taxidermy working with chickens in 2002. She is a member of the National Taxidermy Association, certified in Upland Game Birds. Awards include: WASCO Most Artistic Award in the 2005 Southern Regional Taxidermist Competition, and Commissioner's Award for Ducks Unlimited in the 2006 Southern Regional Taxidermist Competition.
Kim started and operates the company, Feels So Real Reproductions, which specializes in producing reproduction turkey heads using a unique method of combining hard and soft urethane rubbers for a realistic feel, and supplying the custom casting needs of taxidermists nation wide. She is a specialist in the molding and casting the soft, fleshy parts of birds: combs, wattles, snoods, vulture heads, pelican pouches, parrot feet etc. Current taxidermy work is geared more toward small birds and raptors for the Janet Huckabee Arkansas River Valley Nature Center in Fort Smith and the Fred Berry Crooked Creek Nature Center in Yellville, Arkansas.
Kim resides with her husband, Wayne Kuenzel, on Running 'K' Farm, in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Matched Wooden Bookends (rooster and hen) from the 1953 Poultry Science Meeting at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver
The bookends measure 5" high, 5" long, & 3.5" wide. Inscription on each reads "THE UNIVERSITY OF BRITISH COLUMBIA VANCOUVER, B. C. - 1953". On the hen, an additional inscription reads "HEN No. 6 - 351 EGGS - 1925-1926
